MATLAB code for UWB modulation

 

We are aware that UWB is utilized for wireless communication over short distances. UWB is used in AirTag, RFID, etc., to keep track of your belongings. Keep your Apple AirTag in your backpack, or attach it with a key. Track your belongings with a mobile app. UWB transmitters use pulse width modulation and transmit data using extremely narrow pulses. Systems using UWB offer excellent potential for live tracking live and delivering very high data rates. Because of this, security is its primary usage (i.e., digital key, live monitoring of your stuff in the medical field, etc.).

UWB was previously covered in a different article on this site. Here, we'll mainly talk about the coding (using MATLAB) portion.

  BER vs. SNR denotes how many bits in error are received in a communication process for a particular Signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio. In most cases, SNR is measured in decibel (dB). For a typical communication system, a signal is often affected by two types of noises 1. Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) 2. Rayleigh Fading In the case of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), random magnitude is added to the transmitted signal. On the other hand, Rayleigh fading (due to multipath) attenuates the different frequency components of a signal differently.
